Being Thankfull

Tis the season to be thankful. I thought I would mention everything I am thankful for but that would take all night. I realized the other day how thankful I am for indoor bathrooms. I was out at our stain shop for work that lies about five miles out of town. We have no bathroom there and it was rainy and freezing and windy and well, Thankfully I made it to town to indoor plumbing. That got me thinking of all the things we take for granted these days. With everyone rushing here and there emailing, texting, faxing, calling, blogging and everything else we fill our everyday lives with we forget to be thankful for some things.

I am thankful for :

  • Hot water
  • Ice cubes
  • Indoor bathrooms
  • Electricity
  • Taste buds
  • tooth brushes
  • Electric shavers
  • Washers and driers
  • Riding lawn mowers
  • microwaves

These are just some samples of the small things I sometimes over look. These things aren't quite at the top of my list.

The things I'm most thankful for:

  • My Heavenly Father who loves me and chose me before the foundation of the world
  • The Blood of Jesus-without there would be no salvation
  • The Holy Ghost-without there would be no help
  • The Word of God-without there would be no faith
  • Family-without there would be no support
  • My job-without there would be no income
  • My Jeep-without there would be no job
  • My functioning legs and arms-without I couldn't drive my Jeep
  • My tongue-without I couldn't confess my Lord
  • Sound mind,peace,Love,etc.etc.etc.
  • Health
  • Healing
  • Food in my belly
  • My church
  • My Pastor
  • Prosperity, spiritual,phsical,financial
  • My dog-she's the only thing glad to see me everyday after work

This is just a small list not in particular order except the first few. You get the idea. What are you thankful for? Don't forget the little things in life like your heart beat, or brain cells.
