Night Of Worship

Last night was wonderful. My mother and I had a great time at the concert. It was really cool to see and hear over 3 thousand people singing to God together. We had some of the best seats. Main floor, only 11 rows back from the stage. I'm bummed because I didn't take the camera. There were some great photo opportunities. I tried taking some shots with the cell phone but they do no justice. Israel Houghton and New Breed was the opening act. I had no idea who they were but they did an awesome job getting everyone pumped up and praising the Lord. As it turns out the lead guy, Israel, his mother was originally from Waterloo, Iowa. We also found out that Chris Tomlin was prayed over as a boy. The prayer was for him to be a song writer and leader for God. Pretty cool to see it has come to pass.

The presence of God was definitely in that place last night. Being just one face among thousands is something else. I was thinking that I am no more important than the next face. God hears all these individuals and cares so much for each and every one. What a huge God we serve that sees and knows all.

Man, three solid hours of praising and worshiping God. It seems like that's a long time but really it isn't. I hear that the underground churches in china will gather and worship God all day. Something like 12 hours or so. Now that is a hunger for the Living God.
